Best nightclubs/bars in Mont Tremblant for 18 year olds?

My friend and I are 18 and will be going to Mont Tremblant. I heard that in some bars, you must be 21+ to drink even though the legal drinking age in CA is 18. Any advice?

Well the legal drinking age in Quebec is 18, so I don’t see why they would require you to be 21+.

Anyway some of the popular bars there are: Bar Café d’Époque and Le P’tit Caribou

is it safe to drive from montreal to mont tremblant in this weather?

are the roads from montreal to mont tremblant too curvy to drive on at this time with so much snow?
I have been driving for the past 15 years but have started driving on snow last year onwards. My car is a four wheel drive with snow tyres. i am not sure what the route from montreal to tremblant is like.

Most days it wil be no problem. Tremblant is a tourist destination and unless there is a blinding blizzard, the road will be clean. Just use common sense and if you are worried try to travel during daylight.

This is a great government site for road conditions.

What is the latest on Natasha Richardson ?

I live in Montreal, like half an hour from Tremblant where her accident happened and I was on my drive home from work and on the radio, I heard that it was confirmed that she was taken off life support. Is it true ? I w was praying for her and hoping she made it through it. I heard her family was going to say their final goodbyes to her earlier in the day today. What’s the real confirmed news ?

They removed her from life support yesterday. She passed away at 5 pm….

She was a great loss in this Industry. May God rest her soul.

My deepest condolences to the Neeson, Redgrave and Richardson Family.

She was a great and talented actress, a loving wife and mother to Liam and sons, Micheal and Daniel; wonderful daughter to Vanessa Redgrave and Tony Richradson (as well to Franco Nero) and an understanding sister to Joely and Carlo. She will surely be missed…

I am looking for a shuttle or some way to get from Ottawa, ON to Mont Tremblant, PQ.?

I am looking to get from Ottawa to Mont Tremblant for snowboarding. I do not have a car and am only 22 so renting is a little too expensive. I would like to find a shuttle service or something if anyone knows of something.

Thanks,

You could do some research to see if there’s a bus company that leaves Ottawa to go to Mont-Tremblant, but I’m not really sure. Are you going with friends, people you know? Maybe you could try car-pooling? Good luck!

What are the best ski mountains in Quebec? Tremblant discluded!?

My friends and i are looking to go on a ski trip to Quebec in February 2010 and are wondering what are the best mountains in the area! We went to Tremblant last year and are looking for somewhere similar. Were all males between the ages 23-26 so want there to be a good nightlife as well. I’ve been unsuccessful with searching on the net because it is saturated with information on Tremblant and Mount St. Anne. Please help!!

I assume you want a big mountain, so your best choice is Le Massif du sud, or Le Massif de Charlevoix. Personally, I recommend Le Massif de Charlevoix. REALLY sick ski hill. Not the highest number of runs, but it does have a higher vertical drop than Tremblant or Mont St Anne. It isn’t the greatest for nightlife, but it is only a 1 hour drive from Quebec City. The skiing conditions are amazing, and the views are like nothing else you’ll see skiing in Quebec.

That being said, if you have great skiing where you live, and you just want nightlife and partying, then go to Bromont in the eastern townships, and go back to Montreal for the nightlife. Its only like a 40 minute drive, and the mountain is better than anything you’ll get out of any mountain south of Tremblant.

We are planning a march break trip to mont tremblant and need a place that will rent to teens any ideas?

Since in Quebec the age of majority is 18, as long as you are that old there will be no issue. So if anyone is eighteen years old get them to call and make the reservation. I am sure though if you are under 18 and use a parents credit card there will also be no problem.

How is Mount Tremblant in mid April?

I would like responses from people who have been there at this time in previous years. I need to know if the snow and trails are as good as in winter.

mid-april, not very good… it gets very slushy…. hardly any snow at that time of the year too… lots of people on the few open trails… youre better off going to tremblant in march.. april is usually pretty shitty skiing..
