First time out on the slopes with my video camera - I was a bit nervous about wiping out - and I did, on an icy patch going down “Banzai”. It’s been over 5 years now and the camera still works. That was one amazing and beautiful day, a weekday as I recall - no lines at the ski lift.

Yesterday, I was at Mt Tremblant snowboarding, and i hadn’t protecte my ears from the cold correctly. I didnt feel that my ears were freezing until i went inside. Inside, it started to kill me. Then, my ear grew bigger and bigger. I was worried, and went to the clinic. There, my ear was HUGE ! just like Will Smith in Hitch. The doctor told there wasnt much to do since it was a Major Burn from the cold. I now have HUGE blisters on my ear and liquid has been leaking from it for the past 30 hours !

Unfortunately if you are ozzing fluid , then this is the only way the skin can heal inteslf. You may loose part of the ear or the skin. It is much like a fire burn, once it is destroyed it is gone. You do need to be careful with treating the open wound though with some sort of antibacterial cream. It is easy for this type of wound to get infected.

It is two weeks before our ski to Mt. Tremblant in Quebec, however none of us in my family want to go except my dad. We are having second thoughts, and would now like to go to Whistler instead. It is only a little more expensive and the hotel is better. I am a beginner skiier, and am worried that the icy and freezing conditions that Mt. Tremblant routinely experiences are not good for a skiier of my level. Last year we went to Whister, and it was awesome! The conditions were phenomenal and I was lucky to be able to be there at the same time with some of my best friends. My friends are returning again, and I would like to be there with them. My mom also wants to visit Whistler again because she know the village well and she will not be there with strangers, as some of her friends are going as well. She is also not fond of the cold.The only problem here is my dad. He is adament about Mt. Tremblant and it seems as if he will never change is mind. Is there any way I can possibly sway him?
It is also not to late to cancel, as we only lose one night in a hotel. Alos, we have already found a room at a hotel which is available, and airfare is also not much of a problem, as the price is not much different from getting to Quebec.
Also, he does not want to return because he was sick towards the end of the trip, and found that there was one day when he found the snow just a little icy. other than that I’m not really sure why he does not want to go back.

You have expressed why you want to go to Whistler but you have avoided the heart of the matter.
You need to discover the reason(s) why your father doesn’t want to return there. When you discover the reasons, then you can address those issues and hopefully resolve them so that you can go where you want.

In two week me and 5 of my friends are venturing from New York to Mt. Tremblant, Quebec for some skiing. I’ve never been to Canada and all i want to know is if they are strict at the border and if they do a full out search on the vehicles, people, luggage, etc. I know they are probably strict comming into the US but I’m not worried about that, just crossing into Canada is my main concern for certain unspecified reasons.

I doubt if they will search you, your car, or your stuff, either direction.

Starting January 1, you will need a passport to fly into the US.
Starting January 1, 2008, you will need a passport to enter the US by land or sea.

What’s your favorite restaurant in Mt. Tremblant, and what did you order

My first choice would be Montreal.
My second choice would be Montreal.
My third choice would be Montreal…
If you have any choice, it would be Montreal.
As for Mt. Tremblant, I would recommend Auberge Caribou or Aux Truffes.
