Lessons are your best bet. Learning how to ski alone can be very dangerous, and leaves a lot of room for developing horrible techniques. Getting lessons (offered at almost every single ski resort) will allow you to practice the best techniques from the start. I recommend a 6 hour private lesson one day, a 6 hour private lesson the next day, and a 3 hour private lesson the next day to really ready yourself and get familiar with the mountain. If you don’t have sufficient cash on you to pay for the private lessons, join a group lesson and the rates decrease a lot (I’m not aware of your financial background so I wouldn’t know what’s best for you). After taking lessons for a few days, you’ll be able to ski most of the black diamond trails at 99% of American ski resorts. Good luck skier! Hope this helped!
